I used to think this was a good mix, but with the growing number of do-it yourselfers, I find myself leading my clients away from many homes that have flaws that the normal person hardly notices. The good side of this is that when my clients do buy a home, they usually get a Great one, or they know before they buy one what they will have to do to make it a Great home. Now I’m not saying that all do-it-yourselfers do a bad job; In fact, I’ve seen some jobs where I would surely hire the men and women who did them to work in my remodeling company, but I sure wouldn’t let them sell my home.
